Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA) announces its Summer Performing Arts Institute, a two-week intensive program for performers ages 6-20. Students will learn vocal technique, dance skills, musical theatre style dance, acting, improv, interpretation of songs, advanced audition techniques, and stage presence, as well as get the opportunity to showcase their talents in a performance. All levels are welcome, and performers will be grouped by age and experience.
Led by Producing Artistic Director Jackie Hammond, the workshop will feature numbers from MTA’s third season (to be announced very soon)! There will be award-winning, experienced and talented instructors from all over the valley working with the participants, and most of these instructors will be the Directors of the shows for the upcoming season.
The Institute will be July 19th-30th from 9:00-12:00 Monday-Friday for a cost of only $195
There are also specialty classes offered: Advanced Acting, Singing in Harmony, Intro to Dance, and Tap from 12:30-1:30 for those wanting a longer musical theatre day!. There will be a performance on Friday, July 30th Payment of $195 is due upon registration. There is a 10% sibling discount available. Space is limited!
The Performing Arts Institute will be held at the Caepe School in Anthem at 42212 North 41st Drive.
